ARC Raiders is giving players an early shot at the action. From October 17 to 19, the upcoming sci-fi extraction shooter will be completely free to play during its limited-time server slam event. No codes are required—just download and join.
In a blog post published on October 14, developer Embark Studios outlined exactly what players can expect ahead of the game’s full launch on October 30, 2025.
Explore the Dam Battlegrounds
The server slam will debut ARC Raiders’ first playable map: Dam Battlegrounds. Set in a post-collapse world, players will traverse mist-covered swamps, dense forests, and crumbling research facilities. The environment isn’t just for show—it’s filled with threats, including Electromagnetic Storms, Night Raids, and possibly even a rare appearance from a fearsome boss known only as the Queen.
Whether solo or in squads, players can explore and engage in combat in this early slice of the Rust Belt.
Trade, Craft, and Complete Early Quests
Players will interact with Traders in Speranza, who offer early-game quests that introduce the world’s lore and provide useful rewards. While some advanced systems like Expeditions, Trials, and Codex entries are visible but inactive, essential gameplay systems such as basic crafting, gear blueprints, and a limited Raider Deck are live.
Feats—short-term challenges—will also be active, granting Cred, the in-game currency used to unlock rewards through Raider Decks.

Fight the ARC Machines
The Rust Belt is overrun by ARC: deadly machines with unique behaviors. During the slam, players will face enemies like Wasps, Ticks, Bastions, and Leapers. Listening for mechanical cues—like weapon spin-ups or metal skittering—will be crucial for survival.
Exclusive Reward: The Server Slammer Backpack
Although progress won’t carry over, participants will receive the exclusive Server Slammer backpack at launch—provided they connect their Embark ID during the event.
